Housing

Housing functions to protect the internal parts of the alternator. It became a household of different components such as stator, rotor, bearings, regulator, etc. The housing is mainly divided into two parts, i.e., front housing located near the pulley and rear housing located at the opposite side.

Rectifier

  • When the coil rotates 180 degrees (back to horizontal), the induced current will pass in the direction of DCBA in the coil, exiting from P to the external circuit and then returning to the internal circuit at Q, as illustrated in figure (c).

  • The conductor rotates 90 degrees clockwise before the rectangular coil is placed vertically. As illustrated in figure (d), the wire and magnetic flux line are now parallel.
