This car is a unique car from other cars that where previously manufactured by BMW. This car was hard to top at its price  or rather any price due to its unique interior design and materials used. With the iX SUV, BMW has brought back much of that spirit.

Like the i3, the iX’s bones consist of a composite spaceframe reinforced with carbon fibers. In addition to its funky exterior styling, the interior features interesting new design elements and uses warmer materials than typical of modern leather seats like every car. The iX is also incredibly fun to drive, with 516 horsepower and 564 pound-feet of torque.

The iX is available in two different variants, the first being the xDrive50, which has a pair of electric motors that produce 516 horsepower. It typically takes just 4.0 seconds for the iX xDrive50 to reach 60 mph.

Battery life and Range: The EPA estimates the iX’s battery pack will provide a driving range of 324 miles per charge, thanks to its large 105.2-kWh capacity. Its range is surprisingly fast at 75 mph on the highway. An EV’s driving range is rapidly reduced by highway driving, resulting in a fraction of its overall range estimate, but the iX recorded an impressive 290 miles.

We also achieved 290 miles of range with the 610-hp M60 we drove for the same test. When connected to a 200-kW outlet, the iX can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 35 minutes.

Fuel Economy and Range: A 20-inch wheel-equipped model of the iX earns a fuel economy rating of 86 MPGe in the city and 87 MPGe on the highway, according to the EPA. When you ride with one of the iX’s larger sets of wheels, those numbers are slightly reduced.
